Grammy’s birthday present

This year for Grammy's  birthday I made her a new purse. I have really been wanting to make this bag, especially after seeing the one Emily made.

So, I picked some cute wintery fabric and went to work.

I think it turned out really cute. I especially love the green fabric on the inside lining. Grammy wants a snap to close it, so I will have to figure out how to add that now. I really should have added it before sewing it together, but the instructions didn’t call for it, so I didn’t think of it then. I was sick while making this bag. Not really a good idea to sew when I’m sick apparently. I had to rip it out a few times. It really wasn’t very hard to make, I just had a snotty, foggy head. I used Amy Butler’s Birdie Sling  pattern. I have a few more ideas in my head for this bag. I can’t wait to make more. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few end up under the Christmas tree!

New hat & the grams

I made Jackson another hat. This one I crocheted. It was super easy and super quick. It only took me a couple hours one night. I really wanted to make a brim for the hat, but I couldn’t get it to look right, so it’s just a beanie. Maybe I’ll figure out how to do the brim and add it later.

I found this picture on my camera. Daddy must have taken it one day while I was at work. I thought it was really cute.

Jackson sure does love both of his grams! And they both sure do love him!
