Christmas painting

I found these watercolor ornaments at Michael’s for $1, so I thought they would make a good little project for Jackson. He loves painting and all we needed was water.

He took his work very seriously.

But, he still had lots of fun! He had so much fun, he painted the color off the ornaments.

This is what Jackson does when you say “Where’s Jackson?” He smiles and pats his chest.

21 Months

Today Jackson turned 21 months old! I can’t believe in 3 months he will be 2 years old. Where has the time gone? Jackson celebrated by accompanying me on a full day of shopping.  He was such a good boy so I let him play outside in the leaves for a few minutes when we got home. He had a blast!  And of course Pigeon had to join him. (That’s what Daddy named his white reindeer, we weren’t sure what exactly it was and Daddy started calling a Pigeon for some reason and it stuck.)

Is he throwing gang signs?

It was all fun, until it started raining and we had to go inside.

Tears didn’t work, how about poor, pitiful face?

Don’t worry, he was back to his smiling self 2 seconds later.

Woo Hoo, Jackson Grew!

Today Jackson had another weight check at the doctors office. At his last appointment at 18 months the doctor didn’t want to wait the usual 6 months to see Jackson again. So, we went back for a 21 month check today. (Even though he won’t be 21 months until next week.) We were pleasantly surprised at how much weight he gained. He was 22 pounds 3 ounces and 31 inches. That moves his weight from the 2nd to the 4th percentile and his length from the 1st to the 3rd percentile. Way to go Jackson!!

Jackson also had his flu shot today. We had to wait in the office for 20 minutes after his shot to make sure he would not have a reaction to it. The flu shot is grown in egg white, so people with egg allergies have to be careful getting the flu shot.  Jackson did great! No problems! He did take a super long nap when we go home though.

Yay Jackson!! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!!! Keep up the good growing!! We love you!

Trick or Treat

Tonight we took Jackson Trick or Treating for the first time. He had so much fun! He didn’t understand what we were doing, but he loved running around outside, going door to door. He insisted on bringing his little pumpkin with him. Daddy carried his trick or treat bucket for him.  I bought the hat for Jackson a few months ago thinking it was really cute on him and I could use it for Halloween.  Jackson loves his coon skin hat! He wears it all the time at home. He kept it on all night!

Here is our little Davey Crocket (or Daniel Boone):

Daddy gave Jackson his 1st lollipop. Jackson LOVED it. Hence the red drool on his clothes in all of the pictures. Next year no candy until AFTER trick or treating and pictures!

Tiny Trekie

Daddy made this little video the other night. It may not be funny to anyone else, but it cracks us up! Yes, we are easily amused!

Pumpkin Farm 2011

Remember last year when we took Jackson to the pumpkin farm? Well, I took him back this year with Grammy and Pa Pa (as Jackson has just started saying!). Jackson had so much fun! It was really hard to get pictures of him because he was literally running the whole time. Most of my pictures were blurs of him or his back.

fall2011-17

This is a growth board thing they have that you can take pictures of every year. We will have to come back next year to see how much bigger Jackson is! I don’t remember doing it last year.

Strong Man Cub thought he could pick up the big pumpkins!

Pa Pa helped Jackson sit on one of the pumpkins.

Inside they had tons of different kinds of pumpkins. Some of them kinda freaked me out. They looked like they had warts. It didn’t stop Jackson though!

fall2011-06

They also had farm animals to look at. Jackson and this chicken were nose to nose checking each other out! Thankfully Jackson didn’t try to stick his fingers through the fence.

fall2011-08

Jackson got to see a real horse up close. It is actually a pony. He didn’t get as excited as I thought he would since one of his favorite words is “horse”.

They also had turkeys and goats. Jackson called the goats “horse”.

fall2011-12

My little cow!  Jackson loves to “Moooo!”

fall2011-01

fall2011-15

There was a pretty little butterfly garden. Jackson tried to smash the flowers and butterflies, but no butterflies were actually harmed!

fall2011-16

Jackson had so much fun running his little heart out!

fall2011-04

He was so upset when we left. He cried and made his pouty lip. Poor little cubby! He cracks us up with his pouty lip! It’s his new thing, he does it when he thinks he should cry or to try to get his way by sheer cuteness.

Make sure you check out last years  pictures to see how much bigger Jackson has gotten!

Tip Top Thursday

I have not done a TTT for a few weeks, so I thought I would update my ticker. I completely forgot to go to WW today. I guess it just wasn’t on my mind. Oh, well. Honestly, I am pretty much done with WW. I am only paid through next week, so hopefully I can lose the last 1.8 pounds by then. If not, that’s ok too. I am happy with where I am. But, it would be really nice to finish my goal!
